From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, Wix hits peak season. Millions of purchases roll in through Wix sites worldwide, driving millions of dollars in revenue.
For this high-energy moment, I was asked to design a massive LED display board, working alongside Yael Renous, the team's developer, who handled the technical build and brought the design to life as a real-time interface.
Method
To make the display interactive, we used Unity, feeding it live data in real time alongside the design, so the visuals responded to the data as it came in: revenue generated, orders placed, and where in the world each purchase happened.
Inspiration
Our overall concept was playfulness, so Plinko became the guiding idea. For the visual twist, I steered away from the traditional Plinko look and drew inspiration from electronic music hardware. Knobs, jacks, small screens, numeric readouts, and technical typography. Then reworked that language to fit Wix and the client.
